Decorating around the fireplace is a great way to add understated character to the living room. There are a lot of fall-inspired decors to choose for the fireplace too. However, going simple sometimes works best. A cheerful mantel display should do.

Make sure there are fall leaves and wreath accents as well as softly glowing candles to bring out the best mood. The goal is to give the hearth a farm-fresh appeal.

Dried plants on your decor are designed to evoke the impression of a harvest. They are simple to make too.

Start off this ensemble with an understated wreath of wheat hangs around the kitchen window. Get a pitcher full of autumn flowers and display it on the counter just next to the sink. Complete the design with a cute white pumpkin on the other side of the sink and that’s it.

This is a simple fall-inspired farmhouse decor that brings immense character into the kitchen. It’s definitely worth the try.

It is also a great idea to give your front porch a bountiful display. This front porch display combines a wide range of elements.

Start off with an old farmhouse ladder on one corner of the porch. The ladder provides a series of shelves where you can put baskets of marigolds. You will also need to place a large sheaf of corn stalks behind as the ladder as well. The display is then finished with a variety of dried plants, pumpkins, and a simple candle lantern.

If you are looking for a farmhouse decor that makes your home stand out from everybody else’s in the street, then you won’t go wrong with this one.

Dried wreaths can also be a great way to set the mood in fall. It doesn’t even have to be something complicated. A collection of dried vines rounded together to make a wreath should do. Hang them on the front door or even on exterior walls if possible.

However,

In case you plan to make a full ensemble, you can start off with a grapevine wreath neatly hung on the side of your door. Use some white flowers to accentuate the wreath or white ribbons. Place a small side table just underneath it.

On top of the table, place a printed cushion with a fall-inspired message, a galvanized vase with twigs or white flowers, and some old books as well. It will be the perfect front door display.

This cheerful marigold display will be the best way to light up your front porch. Dairy crocks are used to hold colorful blooming flowers. The crocks are neatly arranged along the steps of the front porch until they reach the door. Make sure the crocks are also varied inside. The bigger ones start at the bottom of the steps and the smaller ones end up on the door.

Complete the design by lining up differently sized pumpkins along the crocks as well. The pumpkins need to be colorful too so that they can easily blend with the flowers on display.
