Marc Johnson installed a new furnace in my home on 4/20/14. two weeks later I had to go to the emergency room for treatment for suspected carbon monoxide poisoning, I called Marc to come and check the furnace because there was a very strong smell coming from the furnace, he came and he said the furnace was over heating and he said he changed the nozzle to reduce the oil flow, it helped a little but there was still a strong smell, the weather was warm enough by that time I shut the furnace off and used a heat pump the remainder of the spring. When I started the furnace up the following winter it still smelled very strong, making me nauseated and burning my eyes every time it came on. I called Marc to come and check the furnace as it was still over heating and getting worse. I contacted him three different times to come check the furnace and he would not. I contacted another real furnace tech, as soon as they checked the furnace they said the furnace was over heating really bad, they replaced the limit control for the fan which was sticking, the furnace was running seven minutes plus before the fan would come on the heat registers and duct work would BURN your hand to touch them, there was also a loose and melted wire. I was very lucky the house didn't burn down some night, all because Marc Johnson would not come and check out his own work. Kevin Adams Heating of Caribou, Maine was very professional and punctional in fixing my furnace,I paid them for their time and the parts were covered under the warranty. I would highly recommend them to anyone. I believe that Marc Johnson is a very unreliable person.
