We contracted Eugene Johnson through a recommendation of one our landscape designers. Eugene was personable and touted commercial work in his portfolio and integrity while doing business-then gave his personal guarantee that if ANYTHING was wrong with his company's work or if we were not please in any way he would fix it-for life! He was so sincere and nice we believed him. So now here's the rub: We needed all of our old iron sewage replaced with PVC. Yes a big job. We had tunneling done instead of hammering through the foundation and Eugene said he would oversee and take care of that too. The job was done and we paid Eugene $30k+ for all the work. Our foundation company did a sewer test and the new pipes FAILED! We contacted Eugene with this info. At the same time we hired another plumber to open a test tunnel to inspect Eugene's work independently and he discovered that not all the iron pipes had been replaced; that adapters from PVC to iron pipes had been used and that the PVC pipes themselves had not been strapped to the foundation! So when the foundation moved (as it does in Texas) the pipes would not move with it. This cause the test failure. After two meetings with Eugene (one which included the tunnel company guy that tried his best to put blame on us for the failure) Eugene now will not return our calls and has disappeared. Now we have to fix everything with another master plumber as we do not want our whole sewer system for the house to completely fail. Eugeneknows of this and still will not return our calls or emails. DO NOT USE THIS GUY!
