• 8 years agoI could, I would give them no stars. I had my home built by them. They are a nightmare to work with. They will not honor their warranty. This has been the case for over 12 other homeowners in my community as well. They will not communicate properly either. Near impossible to contact them. I have written over 20 emails trying to get them to honor their warranty and they refuse. I had to hired an attorney in order to review my contract and see who is at fault. Has confirmed that they are in fact responsible for all the deficiencies in my home. I have had to file a complaint with the Secretary of State of North Dakota. They do not believe in customer service whatsoever. This has been confirmed by the language and tone of the letters they have written to me regarding their breach of contract. Here are some examples of what I am dealing with after having them build my home: The carpet in my ENTIRE house is buckling. This is due to not being stretched during installation. I know this because I had to hire a professional flooring inspector to look at my carpet. He found actual dirt under my carpet in the basement that the installer used to level the concrete under the mat. Peterson actually claimed it was due to "homeowner neglect". The flooring inspector proved that it was 100% installation related. Peterson STILL refused to accept responsibility for the faulty installation and dirt under my carpet. It was a blessing actually that I had a flooring inspector visit my home. That dirt could very cause mold to form. I have a 2 year old son who plays in that room. They also built a deck for us. I just had a professional building inspector with 20 years experience come and do a proper inspection. This inspector actually stated the deck has safety issues and does not recommend using it until the deficiencies are fixed. This is a summary of what I have had to deal with. Peterson Construction is a nightmare. If you are looking for poor customer service and mediocre and below grade work, then hire them.
