We hired Brandon Carson, owner of C & H Windows & More, LLC, to build a bathroom in our basement. Brandon gave us a reasonable quote and we hired him to do the job. A big selling point was that he promised a lifetime warranty on labor. Many things went wrong. He told us the bathroom addition was going to take 9-10 days at the latest. It ended up taking 24 days. When the workers left, there were dips, bumps and uneven areas in the walls, many areas were not mudded right, nor were they sanded or caulked properly. The bathroom door frame was not level and the door would just open by itself. The toilet does not flush properly, and instead drains very slowly. We experimented with Cheerios and discovered we had to flush three times to get rid of them. As soon as they installed the toilet, our garage drain got clogged so water would just sit around it for days. We suspect that they poured something they shouldn't have into it. Throughout the building process the owner would not even stop by to look at his employees' work, citing family engagements. After 20+ days on the job, he eventually rushed his employees to wrap up the work because he thought he was not making any profit, since the project was taking longer than he expected. We have tried multiple times to contact him to ask him to honor the lifetime warranty he signed and fix all the problems he left us to deal with. However, he chose not to respond. We are now left looking for a plumber and another contractor to fix these issues and will incur additional costs as a result. We feel like we have been duped and are losing sleep over this whole debacle.
