We built a home with David Maher recently, just moved in. We are almost $20K over budgeted price he gave us. Floors are all messed up, doors falling off hinges. It took a year to complete and now we are struggling with the bank to figure out how we can pay for this. He lied throughout the process, and somehow didn't know our land sloped even though I walked through it with him before we started construction. Then half way through construction tells me we need to spend an extra $10K to haul in dirt. I talked to his subs and all say they will never work for him again because he is so disorganized and a liar. I should have known when he admitted that he he is "bad with the books." We are now just hoping our experience with David Maher (D F Maher) doesn't bankrupt us.
