A. The property address and a list of you roofing concerns are all that is needed for an initial consultation.

Q. What makes you stand out from other contractors in your area?

A. We have carefully considered the current economic times and have structured our fees accordingly to ensure almost everyone has the ability to retain our services.

Our services will often reduce the overall cost of a project by affording the building owners a competitive bidding process, and by ensuring that your specific needs are met through means of proper design specifications, quality assurance inspections, and contract administration. This will greatly reduce the possibility of premature failure and the extended life expectancy of the roof.

Q. Describe three recent jobs where you made your clients really happy

A. The Beardsley Park Zoo in Bridgeport, CT is currently undergoing a roof renovation designed and specified by us. The design took into consideration the potential for moisture intrusion into the roof system from the rain forest conditions inside, as well as allowing for the expansion of live vegetative plantings on the roof in the future. These designs will allow for a longer life than the Zoo had originally expected as well as using the roof for a teaching aid once the plants are added.

The Breakers Condominiums in Branford were experiencing ongoing leaks issues for many years before contacting us. The building was only 26 years old and already had one full roof replacement, which only temporarily stopped their leaks. After a full roof study we were able to identify the issues, and design a comprehensive system with a fifty year life expectancy. The roof was inspected throughout the re-roof process, and completed in December of 2013.

A commercial building in Berlin, CT which suffered severe storm damage due to excessive snow load in the the winter of 2010. This project is currently in litigation to recover the damages sustained.

Q. What are the most rewarding aspects of being a local contractor?

A. The most rewarding aspects of being in the industry is seeing reaction to my customers after a job is completed.

Also being able to drive through areas and look up at a building knowing that the occupants are watertight as a result of brining our decades of experience with us to each and every project to ensure their property and investment are dry and secure.

Q. Can you give advice to homeowners on how to find the best contractor for their project?

A. I never recommend references received directly from contractors. A contractor is unlikely to provide any references from clients which have less than 100% satisfaction, so referrals from friends and family are best.

Expect that any contractor has had an issue at some point in his career, it's just the nature of the business. An unexpected storm, a bad day, or many other factors can affect the project. If a contractor claims to never had an issue, he is most likely either brand new at roofing or lying, in either case it probably not the right contractor to use. A contractor who is honest and willing to provide references of clients who have experienced an issue with his work, and was able to rectify the situation and complete the project with a positive final outcome is a better option, of course there is an abundance of issues.

Using a consultant will not only provide you with the best possible roof system for your needs but they can offer you a list of competent contractors.
