Q. What are the most common jobs you do for your clients?

A. Our trained, professional team of technicians is licensed, insured, and ready to handle any or all of the following environmental projects:

Asbestos sampling: From vinyl floor tiles, to plumbing, wall and attic insulation, and even certain exterior sidings and shingles…more than 500 products contain asbestos, and it’s safe to assume that any structure built prior to 1980 will require asbestos abatement. If there are any doubts or questions, our technicians can safely obtain a sample and send it to a certified lab for testing, for results in as little as two days.

Asbestos remediation: If you are planning demolition or renovation and suspect the presence of asbestos, it’s time to call in professional help. Slight disturbances in the asbestos material and surrounding areas can create hazards where none existed if not handled properly. Our team is trained and equipped for safe, thorough asbestos remediation.

Asbestos survey: Prior to renovation or demolition, most towns require an asbestos survey to certify the building is asbestos free, in order to prevent asbestos fibers from accidentally being released into the environment. We will respond quickly with a thorough survey, and provide the necessary paperwork so your project can begin.

Black/gray water cleanup: Building floods can occur for many reasons – rainwater leaks, burst plumbing pipes, sewage backups or ground water intrusions from storms or hurricanes. Black and gray water flooding are considered hazardous and should be treated as though the water contains infectious material. We will remove and dispose of standing water and damaged porous materials, dry affected areas, then clean and sanitize building contents, structural support systems and HVAC systems. Once completed, we will retest to certify the building is safe to be re-occupied.

Interior demolition: Most renovation projects begin with demolition, and what lies hidden behind the walls is a mystery. Banner Environmental can handle the demolition for you, so that if an environmental issue emerges, we are ready and able to address it immediately.

Mold removal: We will clean and remove mold from areas where significant growth has occurred; this includes mold and mildew caused by sewage or contaminated water that require specialized protective equipment and cleaners. We can also determine the source of moisture causing the mold and any structural damage that may have resulted from its overgrowth.

Vermiculite Removal:This fire-resistant mineral was used in wall and attic insulation up through 1990. Unfortunately, the majority of the deposits were also contaminated with asbestos. Our team of licensed professional technicians will remove hazardous vermiculite insulation from your home, commercial property, or institution.
