• 7 years agoIf my review helps other homeowners learn about local contractors, I am happy to warn them of someone I would steer clear of. Bliesner Fence was hired to do a fencing job at our house. Right away, board started curling and coming loose, which we fixed ourselves. Soon after, a gate post Bliesner installed began tilting, causing the latch to pull away from the wood. This makes it very hard to close a gate which is on an alley. Not good. For close to a year, we tried to get Bliesner to rectify the situation. We left dozens of messages. He NEVER returns phone calls. On the few occasions when we were "lucky" enough to get him on the phone, he promised to come, but never showed. Then he would promise again, but never show. We even told him that we'd be calling the Attorney General because they oversee bad work by contractors, and he said "Well, good for them!" This gives you an idea of the maturity level we're dealing with, not to mention the complete lack of professionalism. Kyle Bliesner even went so far as to say that he had come out two times...what kind of a contractor comes out to fix a problem two times and does nothing and tells no one (least of all the client)? We are so sick of his lies and it is his bad behavior that has created a situation where we have to take this to the next level. That is unfortunate because he had plenty of opportunities to make right. Obviously, once he got paid, he no longer cared about making his customers happy. If you are thinking of hiring him, one word of warning: DON'T. You may regret it, especially when there are so many other fencing contractors who won't put you through such misery.
