Q. What are the most common jobs you do for your clients?

A. Repairs to receptacles and switches are the most common. After that I would say installing new lighting, paddle fans and receptacles.

Q. What information do you recommend customers have ready when contacting you?

A. If repairs are needed then a detailed list of symptoms from the problem area. If it is a new installation the size of the rooms would help and come prepared with an idea of exactly what you want to accomplish.

Q. What makes you stand out from other contractors in your area?

A. All jobs are handled "in house". We don't hire outside contractors or send helpers or apprentices to your home. You get a Master Electrician with 30 years experience on every job.

Q. Describe three recent jobs where you made your clients really happy

A. A portable generator hook up in Gambrills which made getting thru a power outage much simpler because now only one connection is needed and it also allowed the homeowner to run their well pump.
A bathroom receptacle "fix" that was only a tripped GFCI and required no extensive re-wiring that a previous electrician stated.
The removal of the original fluorescent lights in a kitchen and replacing them with new energy efficient, bright LED recess fixtures.

Q. What are the most rewarding aspects of being a local contractor?

A. Working for and with your neighbors to help make their lives better, easier and more efficient.

Q. Can you give advice to homeowners on how to find the best contractor for their project?

A. ALLWAYS ask if the contractor is going to pull a permit for the job. Permits aren't always required but this will tell you if the contractor has the proper credentials, county license and insurance in order to do so. A company without the ability to secure permits has no fear of doing a poor job and dealing with the conciquences because they have nothing to loose. A licensed contractor can loose his license if things are not done properly and safely.
