A. My 40 years experience in the construction / inspection business with the last 15 years in the Bay Area.

Q. Describe three recent jobs where you made your clients really happy

A. A client (potential buyer) was very pleased when I showed him what he thought was mold and dry rot on the framing throughout the basement was in fact, only discoloration of old growth redwood.

Another client (potential buyer) was happy and grateful that I discovered damage in the older furnace that could allow carbon monoxide to escape into the building. The seller replaced the furnace

Another client (homeowners) were relieved when my inspection revealed the cracks that had developed on some interior walls were due to poor drywall work and not serious structural damage.

Q. What are the most rewarding aspects of being a local contractor?

A. The most rewarding aspect is helping clients make informed decisions.
The feeling when I discover hidden problems either from natural conditions or shoddy construction work is almost as good as the feeling when a nondescript building turns out to be a hidden treasure. It does happen!
