Guy’s Drywall is a complete SCAM Shad Guy is a SCAM artist This is a yearbook picture of Shad, it is the only picture I have of him. He is almost 50 now but you will definitely recognize him, he has not changed that much. I have to say he has aged pretty well. Some of this is my fault because I did not research Guy’s Drywall or Shad Guy. Guy’s Drywall was a very reputable business started by Shad’s father. Shad’s father died in 2017. Shad’s father had built the reputation of Guy’s Drywall up over many decades. Now Shad uses that reputation to cheat people out of money. I went to high school with Shad so it did not even occur to me to research Shad. I was completely wrong. October 16th Shad gave me a price for mudding and finishing drywall in a room and closets. He said he it would take him 2 or 3 days. October 27th We paid Shad ½ of the estimate amount ($750 of the $1500 total). October 29th At this point Shad said his price only included doing the room and not the closets. Shad also wanted to increase the estimated amount. Shad only worked a couple hours on the project. Shad said he would try to have it done by the end of the weekend. October 30th Shad worked a couple more hours on the project. This was the last time I saw Shad Guy. November 1st Shad said there were all kinds of problems with how the drywall was hung so that was his excuse for not finishing the job. He never mentioned any of this when he was working on it the 29th or 30th. November 3rd Shad said he would be over on the 4th to work on the job. Shad never showed up. November 6th Shad said he had a family emergency and had to leave town. At this point I checked some online reviews and found he has used this same excuse with others. All the reviews I saw on line were 1 Star and basically said he was a scammer and did very poor work if he did any work at all. Shad said he would be there the 7th and 8th. He never showed either day. November 11th, 13th and 17th I texted Shad and received no reply. I also left him voice mails over that same period of time. November 19th I texted Shad and let him know that I would be posting flyers around town, starting Facebook pages explaining what his business practices are to save others from going through what I went through and possibly filing criminal charges against him among other things if he did not return some of the deposit that I had paid him. Shad texted me and said basically that he did not owe me any money and not to contact him any more. My advice is to everyone is to have no contact of any sort with Shad Guy.
