If I could give this company a 0 Star I would! They are not forthcoming. They were contracted through American Home Shield to replace and install a new water heater. They refused to give me a written invoice for the work and "modifications" (they said I needed) to replace and install a standard water heater prior to me accepting their charges (items I already had). This company is also known through American Home Shield as Barnes Brothers. When I inquired about the service they were contracted to provide, they decided to REFUSE to do the work that they were contracted to do. They REFUSED because I asked for information that I had a right to receive as a CONSUMER living in the state of California! I met my contractual obligation and paid the service fee required to get the work started in CASH, reflected on the invoice that was signed by their plumber. Their phone number on my invoice is 866-233-6789, which is different from the number listed on this site, but the CA License is the same.

I scheduled an appointment on Friday afternoon and stated that I thought I would need a new water heater. I specifically asked if the plumber they were sending could replace it if that was necessary and I was told "yes, they carry them in their truck and as long as they get authorization, he/she could replace it." The plumber told me to my face that she never intended to replace my water heater and could not get the authorization to do so till Monday. I will be without hot water by then for 4 days. My invoice states that this company works 24 hours a Day/7 days a week, so this plumber could have replaced it but because it was the end of the day and the end of her shift, she didn't call to get authorization but took my money and told me to take a shower at a friend's house because I would be without hot water till Monday and possibly longer because she did not know how long it would take to get a simple water heater replaced. The last time I had this done, I got it on the same day. I am not happy to say the least! I have several pictures of the truck and driver who showed up and did nothing.
