For a quick summary, I would choose another contractor to do your job. Once he was paid, John disappeared without finishing the project as promised. Please read below if you are interest in more details. I hired John from Valley Electric to replace a furnace in my home. I was initially impressed with how quickly he responded and was able to come out and give me an estimate. He responded very quickly to every call/text before he was hired and completed the installation quickly and on time without going over the estimate. He seemed like an honest guy and I was disappointed to see other workers in my home when I returned. I had just installed NEST thermostats in my house, and the workers could not figure out how they worked. I am not handy at all, but was able to re-install them later with no problems. I had originally told John that I wanted to keep my original furnace, but his workers took it to sell for scrap metal. I let them keep it because I didn’t want to deal with the hassle. The installation was done sloppily as they cut holes in my wall and left them uncovered. While not stated in the estimate that would fill in the holes they had to create, I just assumed that was standard practice. I returned from work on the second day and found the workers had left their personal garbage along with all of the industrial garbage from the installation. I called John that night and since he would be back in two days to get the garbage then as hid van did not have any more room (probably because they took my old furnace without permission), I gave him my credit card information for the final payment. He never showed up, so I call him again and he said he would be back that weekend to get all of the industrial garbage. It has now been two months and John is not returning any of my calls. There are plenty of other contractors out there, I think you would be better served giving your hard earned money to someone more honest. I hope you found this review useful.
