There’s no doubt that we all love our mom. Even if you don’t say it often enough, deep down you know that the love you feel for her is simply unmatched. There’s a reason why our mothers are the most special persons in our life. And why not, the sacrifices they have mad for us and the love they have shared all our life can never be repaid. Besides, they also gave us the gift of life so that pretty much settles everything. Is there an easier way to appreciate your mom other than by telling her that you love her? Words do have a power of their own. Saying something and meaning it is what really counts here. There are a few ways we think you can use to make these simple words more emotional.

  • Always appreciate your mom when she does something for you - It doesn’t matter how small the favor is, always remind her that you are grateful for what she does for you.
  • Sing for her - Before you start panicking, we are not saying you should sing like a Grammy winning pop star. As long as it comes from your heart, she will love it.
  • Just say “I love your mom”- Is it really too much to ask? Get on the phone right away and tell her she means everything to you.
  • Dedicate a song to her on the radio - So what if you can’t sing to save your life? You can always dedicate a beautiful song to her telling her how much she means to you.
  • Call her in the middle of the day - Calling your mom for no reason at all other than hearing her voice in the middle of the day should also do it.

Actions do speak louder than words. But don’t get us wrong, you still need to tell your mom what she means to you.

But try to complement that with the following simple activities:

  • Fix stuff in her house - Whether it’s a leaking sink, a broken lamp, or the garage door, dedicate Mother’s Day to ensure everything is fixed.
  • Wash her car - Yes, she would probably ask you to do it again after a few days but she will appreciate the gesture.
  • Babysit – In case you have younger siblings, you can offer to babysit and let mom break free for a few hours and enjoy her day.
  • Plan a surprise party - You can also make plans for a surprise dinner or party just for her.
  • Visit her - If your mom lives relatively far from where you are, make sure you visit her during Mother’s Day and let her know how much you’ve missed her.
